"Workforce Brain Health: What Matters and What Works"

Krystal moderated and presented during the Business Collaborative for Brain Health's Houston 2025 panel on workforce brain health, convening experts from the Center for BrainHealth at UT Dallas, McKinsey & Company, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and others. The session focused on what actually moves the needle for employers when the goals are reducing stress, sleep deprivation, and social isolation across the workforce, and where current employer programs still miss the leverage points.

The conversation framed brain health as the upstream variable that determines downstream outcomes employers already measure, including productivity, retention, decision quality, and total cost of care. The panel pushed the field beyond the prevailing "more apps and more resilience training" reflex. Cross-sector evidence from the panelists' institutions established the case that organizational design, not individual coping capacity, is the constraint.
