"The Hidden Cost of Cognitive Decline: What Employers Need to Know"

Krystal joined the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions on June 24, 2026 for "The Hidden Cost of Cognitive Decline: What Employers Need to Know", a practical session on why brain health belongs in workforce and benefits strategy. She spoke alongside representatives from a regional business group on health and a national patient advocacy organization.
The framing is one CCG returns to often. Cognitive decline sits inside costs employers already carry, through productivity, caregiving burden, and health care spend, and it rarely shows up as a line anyone owns. The session worked through what recent advances in early detection and diagnosis change for employers, and how programs already running in most organizations, across wellness, chronic disease, mental health, and caregiving, can be pointed at brain health without building anything new.
That last point is the practical one. Most employers do not need to start from scratch. They need to know which of the levers already in their hands move the asset.
Audience: benefits leaders and healthcare purchasers across the National Alliance coalition network.
